Keeping Good Posture at Work

By | source: Aug 20th, 2012

Now that I have a full time job I spend a lot of time looking at a computer screen, seating in an uncomfortable chair, and wishing for the sun’s rays to graze my skin. Even though it has been extremely hot here in Austin, TX I find myself missing the grueling heat more and more as I spend my days in doors. Standing next to a window just isn’t the same as being outside and getting that tan on. But hey at least I’m making some money, not everyone is as fortunate as I am to have a job right after graduation, especially with a liberal arts degree.

One thing that I have noticed has gone out the window, besides fun is my posture. Having been the tall shy guy growing up I had a natural slouch, trying to draw any attention away from myself. My dad however always told me I should be proud of my height and as I grew older I started to believe him. Making sure to make that extra effort to straighten my back out and at least look as though I’m prideful. Now the real world has kicked me in the gonads and has me seating in front of a computer screen for hours at a time drawing the life out of me and with it my posture.

Refusing to admit defeat and to help ensure my posture remains decent I present ya’ll with today’s infographic. If you’re like me and want to keep that posture looking good take a gander at today’s image and don’t forget to share! [via]
