The State of WikiLeaks

By | source: Dec 29th, 2010

Wikileaks. Wikileaks. Wikileaks. That is all the news seems to be talking about now. Kind of annoying isn’t it? Everyday, something new about how some government is corrupt and blah, blah, blah. Who cares? It isn’t like any of this will effect me personally.

It doesn’t matter that the DEA has become “a global intelligence organization with a reach that extends far beyond narcotics, and an eavesdropping operation so expansive it has to fend off foreign politicians who want to use it against their political enemies” according to the New York Times. We need to stop narcotics wherever they may be. It doesn’t matter if we invade other countries and spy on their citizens without their knowledge as long we get some cocaine off the streets of our planet.

Throwing the alleged Wikileaks whistleblower Bradley Manning indefinitely in solitary confinement and letting him go on one walk for one hour a day is the smartest thing to do. And I’m glad our country is doing it. If we didn’t do these horribly unusual techniques maybe he would seem level-headed and could relate to the American public once he is released. Now he’ll be so mentally screwed up he can’t possibly be considered lucid!

I hope our government does everything it is capable of to stop more leaks from being released. I’m tired of the news obsessing over this nonsense. I just want the only corruption I have to worry about to be if the winner of American Idol was legitimate. [Via]
