This Is What Happens On The Internet In 60 Seconds

By | source:Here Sep 10th, 2017

Even though a minute feels like an eternity when you’re waiting for microwaved food to be ready, sixty seconds isn’t really that much time. But a lot can happen in those seconds, especially on the Internet.

18 million people want to know what the weather is like in that amount of time and 3.6million google searches are performed.  You may want to watch out for the 103,447,520 spam emails are sent every minute.

What stands out to us is the amount of visual content shared every minute: 4,146,600 youtube videos watched,  69,444 combined hours of Netflix, 527,760 snapchat photos, and 46,740 instagram photos.  Incidentally snapchat has surpassed twitter in social media sharing.

From 2000 to 2017, the number of internet users rose from 400 million to 3.7 billion people today, nearly half of the world’s population.  As this number expands the internet will continue to get busier.

With all of this activity, it can be difficult to remember to step back and disconnect. Here’s a 20-minute full body yoga workout to help you take a break from the Internet.
