What Happens When You Recycle

By | source:Here Dec 25th, 2022

Recycling is a big part of modern life. We learn about it in school, we see recycling bins everywhere, and we even get stickers for our recycling! But do you know what happens to those recyclables once they’re collected? What goes into making the plastic bottle out of which you drank last night’s milk? How does a soda can become another soda can? I’m here to tell you exactly how recycling works…and why it’s so important.

There’s a lot of work involved in recycling, but it helps the planet enormously that we do it! Recycling is an important part of the planet’s natural cycle. When waste materials are recycled, they get transformed into new products or used as raw materials for manufacturing new products. This means that instead of adding to landfills or being burned as fuel, they can be repurposed and reused in different ways.

Your recycling efforts have a big impact on the environment! If you recycle, you’re reducing the amount of waste in landfills by at least half! Recycling helps prevent overuse of resources like water and minerals so that we don’t run out too soon—it also reduces pollution because fewer toxins are released into our air when we use less energy during manufacturing processes (like turning plastic back into oil). Plus, recycling creates jobs for people who work with recycled materials like glass bottles or aluminum cans—and those are usually high paying jobs!

We hope we’ve given you some insight into the world of recycling. It’s a massive topic that can seem overwhelming at first glance, but once you get down to it, it’s pretty simple and rewarding! There are many ways we can all do our part in reducing waste and protecting the environment, and one of them is by recycling as much stuff as possible.
