The Tongue

By | source: Jan 6th, 2011

Well, it’s Thursday, the first day of the weekend. There is only one day left in the work week after today, and then we all see two days of freedom. A time with no responsibilities, two days of relaxation, time for us to recover. With no school and no work, I haven’t had anything to do other and than stumble, sleep, and play some video games. While stumbling I found this infographic, “The 15 Things you Didn’t Know About the Tongue.”

The tongue is an odd organ, it has many uses, for example it allows us to taste all the flavors of our food. The tongue is a weird pink slimey thing with bumps on it, but something that we use a lot. Before having read this infographic, I did not know much about the tongue. For example according to this infographic there are 600 different types of bacteria on the tongue. Pretty cool, eh?

Anyway I hope you all enjoy the infographic for today, it certainly gave me something new to read. As I wait for school to start I will continue to browse the internet with my free time looking for cool infographics for you readers. If you’re like me, you like learning interesting facts all the time, something you can have as a conversation starter. This infographic provided me with something I didn’t know, the human tongue is as unique as a finger print, everyone having their own unique imprint. Anyway hope you enjoy reading through this infographic, and have a nice weekend! [via]
