There are many types of bread. In this guide, we’ll look at the different types of bread, including the most popular ones you can buy from your local grocery store or bakery. If you’re interested in making your own homemade breads and rolls, check out our other blog post about easy recipes for beginners!

Anpan

Anpan is a sweet bun that is filled with red bean paste. It’s made with sweet rice flour, eggs and sugar. The name “anpan” comes from the Japanese word for “buns” (pan). Anpan is often eaten for breakfast or as a snack. Anpan can come in many different shapes, including circles, squares and even ears! The most popular variety of anpan has a round shape like an ear; these are called konpeito-an (literally meaning “snowball buns”).

Bagel

Bagels are a type of bread, but they’re not just any kind of bread. Bagels are made from dough that’s boiled before baking, giving them their signature chewy texture and distinct flavor. They can be sweet or savory–the classic plain bagel is often topped with cream cheese or butter; other varieties might be stuffed with meats and vegetables like lox (smoked salmon), egg salad and more! They’re popular in the United States and Canada as well as other countries worldwide where people enjoy foods like this delicious treat on regular basis.

Baguette

The baguette is a French bread. It’s long and thin, with a crispy crust, a soft interior and an airy crumb. Baguettes can be baked in a convection oven or regular oven at high heat (425 degrees Fahrenheit). You can also use them as utensils to eat soup or stew!

Bread Stick

A bread stick is a long, thin piece of bread that is eaten for the purpose of filling the void between meals or as an appetizer before dinner. It can be served hot or cold, depending on your preferences and how you want to use it in recipes. Bread sticks are often used as garnishes for soups and salads. If you want to make your own bread sticks at home, all you need is some dough and some herbs! You can use any kind of flour (white or whole wheat), but we recommend making them from scratch so they’re healthier than store-bought varieties–plus there’s something satisfying about knowing exactly what went into every bite! Once baked up perfectly golden brown and crispy on both sides, these will disappear quickly at parties because people just love them so much!

Broa

A broa is a Portuguese bread made with corn flour. It can be eaten with butter or cheese, and sometimes served with a sweet topping. The bread is popular in Brazil and Portugal, where it’s often served for breakfast or as an accompaniment to soup at lunchtime.

Crepe

Crepes are thin pancakes that are made from a batter of flour, eggs and milk. They can be sweet or savory; either way they’re delicious! If you’re looking for something sweet, consider the classic French dessert crepe filled with Nutella or jam. Or try your hand at making savory crepes for dinner tonight–fill them with cheese and ham for a tasty meal that’s sure to please everyone at the table! Crepe pans are easy to use: just pour some batter into one side of the pan (it should spread evenly across), flip over when browned on one side then repeat until done cooking all four sides. You can also make this recipe in a frying pan if you don’t have access to an electric stovetop appliance like an electric griddle but still want those tasty treats when hunger strikes!

Gluten-Free Bread

Gluten-free bread is made with a different kind of flour. It’s more expensive than regular bread, but not healthier. Some people have to eat gluten-free bread because they have an allergy to gluten.

Pretzel

A pretzel is a twisted shaped bread, baked in an oven. The history of pretzels dates back to the early medieval times when they were called “Brezitze” and were consumed as a snack by monks. Today, there are many different types of pretzels that you can enjoy at home or purchase at your local grocery store.

Sourdough Bread

Sourdough bread is a type of bread made using a sourdough starter as a leavening agent. Sourdough starters are made by fermenting flour and water with wild yeasts and bacteria, which causes the dough to rise. Sourdough is believed to have been used by humans for thousands of years before commercial yeast became available in the 19th century; its use declined after this time but has seen renewed interest since then due to its health benefits and unique flavor profile compared to other types of breads

Tortilla

Tortillas are a staple in Mexican cuisine. They’re made from corn or flour, and they can be used to make tacos and burritos, or as a wrapper for other foods.

Conclusion

There are a lot of different types of bread. You can eat it for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The best part about bread is that there are so many different types to choose from!
