By | source:Here Feb 28th, 2020

The average recommended sugar intake of adults is well exceeded by a lot of Americans. Many of the foods we buy regularly have unnecessary added sugar to them. If you’re a moderately active woman, your recommended daily sugar intake is about 6 teaspoons. If you’re a moderately active man, then it’s 9 teaspoons. That being said, the average American has 22 teaspoons of sugar every day (and the average teenager has 34 teaspoons of sugar daily).

You don’t have to entirely cut out sweets from your diet in order to become healthier. As always, it is recommended that whatever you eat, do so in moderation. The same goes for sugar, it is just harder when the food we buy exceeds our daily dose of sugar in one serving.
